To accomplish this goal, Anastasia set out to create problems on the New York waterfront so that the United States Navy would agree to any kind of deal to stop the sabotage.
World War II In 1936, Prosecutor Thomas Dewey was successful in convicting Luciano on the charge of pandering, for which he secured a 30- to 50-year sentence.
