This Consent Decree is a contract and shall, upon approval by the Court, also constitute an order of the Court, and all of its provisions shall be enforceable by the parties and as an order of the Court (subject to the terms set forth in Section V of this Decree regarding Enforcement).
At the time this Consent Decree is submitted to the Court, the parties each agree to recommend to the Court that it is fair, reasonable, and adequate to the Class as a whole, within the meaning of that phrase contemplated by Rule 23(e) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
It is an express condition of this Consent Decree that the Class described in Section II.A.5 be certified and be bound by this Decree, and that this Decree be approved by the Court as written.

This person will be responsible for inspecting Multidata's facility and its operations, evaluating the code quality of all software products, and certifying in writing to FDA that requirements set forth in the consent decree have been met and violations have been corrected.

 RC v. Walley Consent Decree
The case was settled by the agreement of the parties and a consent decree was signed and approved by the federal judge in 1991.
An order approving the Consent Decree was entered by now-retired United States District Judge Truman Hobbs on December 11, 1991.
In 1999 Judge DeMent entered an order extending the time for compliance with the Consent Decree until October 2002.

Made up of lawyers from the New York Police Department (NYPD) and the Mayor's Office, the Handschu Authority was to be informed and grant its permission if the NYPD wanted to violate the Fourth Amendment's provisions against unreasonable search and seizure.
