 VIGILANTE JUSTICE: COMMON LAW COURTS
Also known as citizen grand juries, common law courts are self-elected vigilante organizations that claim for themselves the authority of law.
Militias and common law courts clearly bear the Posse's mark.
Meanwhile, Florida common law courts tried to enforce their edicts with threats from the Common Law Constitutional Militia.

 South Carolina Administrative Law Court
Because the Court is an agency within the executive branch of state government, its power to hear a particular type of case from a particular agency is derived exclusively from the legislative branch of state government, the General Assembly.
The Court was created by the South Carolina General Assembly by Act No. 181 of 1993, as amended by Act No. 452 of 1994, to provide an independent forum for hearing the contested cases of state agencies.
The mission of the Administrative Law Court is to provide a neutral forum for fair, prompt and objective hearings for any person affected by an action or proposed action of certain agencies of the State of South Carolina.

 Aboriginal Law and Legislation Online
After the case proceeded over the course of 7 years through the BC Court of Appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada, the actual decision of the Court is that there must be a new trial.
The Court held that it is a fundamental principle of appropriations law that where Congress merely appropriates lump-sum amounts without statutory restriction, a clear inference may be drawn that it does not intend to impose legally binding restrictions.
The Court held that Aboriginal rights, including any asserted right to self-government, must be looked at in light of the specific circumstances of each case and, in particular, in light of the specific history and culture of the aboriginal group claiming the right.

FindLaw columnist and Cardozo law professor Marci Hamilton discusses the argument that the Ten Commandments do not constitute a religious, but rather a legal and historical document, and thus can constitutionally be posted by state governments.
Hamilton sets forth two reasons why courts have in some instances accepted this argument, though she contends it is weak.
